DocsMaple Proxy

Health check

GET /health on Maple Proxy reports that the local proxy process is running and its version. It does not contact Maple or check your API key.

HTTP
GET /health
GET /

Returns 200 with the proxy’s name and version. Both paths give the same answer. No API key is needed.

Shell
curl http://127.0.0.1:8080/health
JSON
{ "status": "ok", "service": "maple-proxy", "version": "0.4.1" }

What it checks

Only that the proxy process is running and answering. It doesn’t contact Maple’s backend, verify the enclave or check a key. A healthy proxy can still return 401, 502 or 504 on /v1 routes.

To check the whole path, call /v1/models with a key.

The Docker image uses /health for its built-in health check, every 30 seconds.

This endpoint isn’t part of OpenAI’s API.
